Movie Review : Thor:Ragnarok

Thor: Ragnarok

Director

Taika Waititi

Duration

: 130 minutes

Stars

Chris HemsworthTom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Mark Ruffalo

The God of Thunder is back and it's astonishing !!

Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok , the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization  at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger, the Incredible Hulk!

The movie brought a new incredibility and humorousness to the Thor franchise. As charming as Chris Hemsworth is in the title role, a scoundrel cousin to the versions of Thor he’s played before, and as venomously over-the-top Cate Blanchett is as Hela, the Goddess of Death; Taika Waititi is the star of the show.

But the third film in the series, Thor: Ragnarok, completely changes that, flexing its self-awareness as the movie and its star laugh both at themselves and with their audience. It’s the first Thor movie that will make you want to see more Thor movies, because it’s the first Thor movie with an idea of what makes its titular hero worth rooting for.

There are a few moments where Waititi flexes his talent for spectacle, showing that he’s fully capable of taking your breath away with visuals — a slow-motion, spectular Valkyrie assault on Hela deserves its own movie.
But the true strength of this cosmic caper is its humor, astonishing direction, spectacular action scenes and great performances .
And overall, Ragnarok lives up to its potential as a fantasy adventure-comedy and a true Marvel movie in all sense.

Movie Review : Tiger Zinda Hai

Tiger Zinda Hai Director :   Ali Abbas Zafar Duration :  165 minutes Stars :   Salman Khan ,  Katrina Kaif This Tiger is roaring !! The story picks up from where the first film in the franchise left off. Indian RAW agent Tiger (Salman Khan) and ISI agent Zoya (Katrina Kaif) are married and living a peaceful life with their son. Eight years have gone by since they decided to choose love over their missions. But their plans will change very soon, with another mission coming there way.   The story is inspired by the real-life incident of the rescue of Indian nurses held hostage in Iraq by terrorists and at the helm of affairs of the mission is Indian RAW agent Tiger (Salman Khan). The film is visually stunning in parts and Salman Khan plays Tiger with roaring confidence and dialogues packed with punch. Of course, his fans get a true-blue Salman Khan moment when he bares his torso. However, the screenplay often loses focus...
